Original notes
First flown 1997......Span 62".....82 oz......23 oz/sq ft......4 x speed 400/6v......Master 6 x 4........8 subC cells.........mechanical retracts......rudder and elevator controls.......all balsa......
This model is 18 oz heavierthan my similar-size Sunderland, due to the retractable landing gear. Each leg is driven by a separate mini servo. Retracts are controlled from a rotary knob on the Tx to enable slow operation. A smooth runway is required for take-off, which is long and realistic. Climb is just about the safe minimum.
