Update  June 2009

Converted to electric power.

70 gram outrunner in the tail.....Kv 1500......9 x 4 prop........lipo battery, 3s, 2.5 Ah..........weight is now 46oz, and wing loading is 18oz/sq ft.

Flies better, and for longer.

  First flight 1989....Span 58"....52oz....20 oz per sq ft....1 * OS 10 (in the tail)....Prop 7*4 LH....Balloon fuel tank....Rudder, elevator & throttle  controls....mostly balsa....Solid balsa wing....

   With a tail-mounted motor, the model remains oil-free. Motor is inconspicuous in flight. Wing is 0.75" thick at root, reducing to 0.25" outboard. Dummy jet pods knock-off without damage. Still flying.
