   For the next four or five months all the activity will be in the workshop. As usual, I have an over-ambitious Winter program.

  I have just spent a whole week testing batteries. Tedious! [see my Tech Index] The time has come to retire some of my old packs.

  Balsa bashing is more satisfying. As you see, restoration of my DH 88 is well under way.

  Reliability improvement is a continuing interest. I have compared six transmitters [including mine] using the Micron tester. They are all very similar, which indicates that low Tx power is not the cause of my problems.   There is much debate on the www regarding the merits of different receivers. I guess I'll have to try another brand. How to test ? [so as to get results in weeks rather than years] A strategy is emerging.
