As first tested, it had a smaller wing, and NMH cells. Flight was rather brief, and somewhat sluggish. A four inch extension to each wingtip greatly improved its flying manners. Lipo cells gave a weight reduction and doubled the flight duration. No other change was required to the power train, as the 3S lipos have a similar voltage to the 10 NMH.
