Kevlar  Thread  Tensioner

I have used this gadget successfully to tighten Kevlar rigging.

It is made from .022" copper wire.

A  shows the finished shape.

Here's how:

B  Fasten a straight length of wire in a pin-vice and bend to shape.

C  Hook over kevlar thread and rotate pin-vice to obtain desired tension. Holding the ring with pliers, snip wire to separate from vice, then bend both ends back over thread, on opposite sides.

D  Snip off excess wire.
