Tu 95

 Update,  November 2008

Motors are now 15gram outrunners.........batts 3S 2500mAh......props 4.6 dia x 4.0 pitch............weight 41oz........wing loading 16.6 oz/sq ft

Update, July 2006

Batteries changed to 3S LIPOs, 2100mAh. Same motors. Props cut down to 5" dia to avoid overload on motors.

Weight now 47 oz, 19oz per sq ft.

Better, longer flights. conversion was easy, as batts are on CG.

  Original Notes

    First flight 1995....Span 55"....58 oz....23 oz per sq ft....4 * Speed 400/7.2....Master 6*4....8 sub C cells....Rudder & elevator controls....Mostly balsa....

Flies with a noticeable yaw oscillation. Twice demolished and glued back together. There has been no balance problem with the very long spinners--I suspect because the motors are rigidly fixed.
